BC-221 : Wall Charger for JR PROPO RC transmitters, 200mA output, replaces NEC-221. Plug the Adapter into wall outlet, and plug other end (coaxial, center NEGATIVE-) into DC port on JR transmitter. This wall charger has 12VDC 200mA/hour output, so it can re-charge a 9.6v 2000mA battery in about 14 hours. It will recharge a 9.6v 1650mAh battery in about 9 hours.
Your original NEC-221 wall charger only has output of 50-60mA/hour, so it Not capable of re-charging a high-capacity battery of 1650mAh capacity or greater.  
The BC-221 is a non-smart wall charger, so like the original NEC-221, you will need to unplug the charger to stop the charging process. Typical charge time for Full Charge (from empty to full) on a 2000mAh battery is 14 hours. The charger has an LED power indicator, which tells you that it is working. Blinking LED = pulse charge. Solid LED = constant charge. The charge method (pulse / constant) depends on which transmitter it is plugged into.
