Replaces BP-170, BP-171, BP-172, BP-173, BP-180. Holds 6 x AA cells for higher-watt transmit capability (Alkaline or Lithium batteries = 9.0VDC power).  Operating voltage when NiCd or NiMH cells are used = 7.2VDC.

If your radio runs on a BP-173, BP-171, or BP-180, this BP-170 (loaded with AA batteries) will run your radio. 
IF you use NiMH AA cells in the BP-170L case, you will need to remove them to re-charge them.
