The BP-3i is a battery INSERT; it is an 8.4volt 350mAh Nickel Cadmium assembly that goes inside a BP-3 or CM-3 style battery pack (for ICOM). The original pack unscrews open, and some soldering is required for removal of old insert, and installation of new one.
