BP-8hi : 8.4 volt 1400mAh rechargeable replacement Ni-Cd insert for ICOM BP-8 & CM-8 battery packs. Goes inside battery casing.  Your original BP-8/CM-8 battery needs to be unscrewed, opened, the old battery insert removed, and this new insert installed (Several solder connections are necessary). New 4x3 offset design fits in All versions of BP-8 and CM-8 casings (original Icom OEM and all aftermarket models). Insert includes built-on thermal protector (for safe fast-charging) and short-circuit protector. These are assembled in the USA by us.
